Victor Treatment Center/North Valley School is a residential treatment program for youth ages 8-18 who require special support in their daily living and academics due to emotional disturbance. The residential program and non-public school serve to provide individualized support and mental health treatment to the youth in our care.
The Residential Counselor is responsible for the direct care and supervision of emotionally disturbed children living in our group-home facility. Residential counselors provide ongoing support to you and assist in implementing treatment plans and practicing independent living skills.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree, or one year working or volunteering in a group home. 12 ECE units, child development teaching permit, AOD counseling certificate, vocational certificate, or past experience working with youth can be substituted Must be 21 years or older Must have valid CA driver's license and clean DMV record Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check Must be able to pass pre-employment physical including a drug test and physical fitness test. Qualified applicants will also have good communication and writing skills, and have the ability to work individually as well as on a team.
