Requirements / Qualifications
- Perform management functions in the areas of support services, budget and/or contract/ grant development - Manage office/coordinate the activities of clerical staff - Oversight of budgets, contracts, leases, agreements and/or grants. - Assist in the development and recommendation of changes to rules, regulations, policies & procedures - Act as a liaison and represent the department at meetings - Manage/supervise district and CBO after school staff - Ensure programs are in compliance with district, local, state, and federal guidelines. - Facilitate collaboration between SFUSD depts &offices, public agencies, educational entities, & youth-focused initiatives. - Develop communication strategies to increase SFUSD and City awareness and support for San Francisco ExCEL programs. - Participate in coordinated service efforts and school-linked programs organized by Student Support Services, School Health Programs, and Academic professional development departments. - Coordinate fiscal management of the programs, including budget development, expenditures, and projected expenditures. - Assist and coordinate program evaluation, documentation of program achievements, and compilation of all required reports. - Maintain contact with Department of Children, Youth, and Their Families and U.S. and California Departments of Education regarding grant allocations, budgets, program updates, and evaluation process. - Assist with the assessment, planning, and development of infrastructures to increase the sustainability of programs, services, and projects. - Conduct informational sessions and technical assistance workshops to sites interested in applying for the expanded learning grants. - Coordinate the application process for successful completion and submission of grants.
- Perform management functions in the areas of restorative practices, implementation of Safe and Supportive Schools resolution. - Lead the development in the development of the restorative practice and safe and supportive schools component of the Safe and Supportive Schools component of the ExCEL Quality Action - Act as a liaison and represent the department at meetings regarding the Safe and Supportive schools component of the ExCEL After School program. - Provide training and support to CBO after school staff - Ensure programs are implementing restorative practices and positive behavior supports with fidelity in the after school programs and are aligned with the school day. - Facilitate collaboration between SFUSD depts &offices, public agencies, educational entities, & youth-focused initiatives. - Develop communication strategies to increase SFUSD and City awareness and support for San Francisco ExCEL programs. - Participate in coordinated service efforts and school-linked programs organized by the Student, Family, Community Support Division. - Assist and coordinate program evaluation, documentation of program achievements, and compilation of all required reports. - Assist with the assessment, planning, and development of infrastructures to increase the sustainability of programs, services, and projects. - Conduct informational sessions and technical assistance workshops to sites interested in applying for the expanded learning grants. - Coordinate the application process for successful completion and submission of grants. - Possession of a Masters Degree and/a minimum of 4 years exp working in after school programs - 4yrs of verifiable exp performing restorative practices and/or positive behavior administrative and/or management functions in after school programs. - Exp working with community based organizations – city agencies, multi-disciplinary teams - Exp working with a culturally diverse population - Bilingual preferred
