School and Principal Position Summary

San Gabriel Christian School is a TK-8 school located in San Gabriel, California.  S.G.C.S. has a current student body of 239, and offers academic excellence through a Christ-centered curriculum. Established in 1949, the school was founded as a ministry of San Gabriel Community Church and continues to enjoy the support of the church’s pastoral and ministry personnel, facilities, and other resources.

The Principal of San Gabriel Christian School is a full-time, year-round position responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school. This person serves as a member of the School Board. The Principal will work closely with the pastoral staff and other leadership to ensure consistent communication and implementation of the San Gabriel Community Church vision across the entire campus ministry.

Education, Skills and Experience:
•    Classroom teaching experience
•    Administrator experience (five or more years)
•    Current teaching or administrative credential and ACSI certification
•    M.A. or M.S. degree in education or related field
•    Accreditation experience on both hosting and as a team member capacities
•    Conversant with current best practices in education
•    Advocate for classroom use of technology
