Pacific Autism Center for Education, PACE, continues to expand its school program and is looking for motivated instructional aides at our campuses in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara. Our school operates all 12 months of the year, so there is work during summer months. Our Instructional Aides are creative people who want to make a positive impact in the lives of special education students. We provide training for all staff members. You will work with students, often 1:1, and will support the teachers and specialists to ensure the students' success. We offer opportunities for growth and development, including a path to becoming a Teacher. Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am to 3:00pm (30 hours per week with benefits) Job Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Assist in implementing student behavior and support plans that allow the student to meet their instructional goals, as well as providing behavior redirection techniques when necessary. Encourage, engage and support students in the classroom, playground, vocational work and the community to maintain a positive environment that is conducive for learning and cooperation. May assist with toilet training. Collect data on student progress, based on behavior plans and goals. Assist students in the development and maintenance of appropriate social behaviors, as well as interactions with others. Employees qualify for Medical, Vision, and Dental benefits first of the month following date of employment. Paid vacation and sick time start accruing at date of hire. Qualifications: - High School Diploma (minimum) required. AA/BA degree preferred - Strong written and verbal skills - Experience in special education, education, early childhood development, psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis preferred but not required. - Able to quickly respond and adapt to challenging, dynamic environments. - This is an entry level position with continuous on-the job trainin

Pacific Autism Center for Education is looking for an Instructional Aide to work one-on-one with students ages 6-22 with Autism in our Santa Clara school location.

The ideal applicant will be a professional and mature, focused individual who can be a positive role model to our students.
Experience: Always a plus, but not required. What is required is the desire and commitment to serving our students.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. A TB certification or test must be performed by a certified physician. A clean DMV report. A clean fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice. Must be willing to assist students with toileting needs.
Hours: Part-Time (30 hours) 9:00 am -3:00 pm
