The person selected for this professional-technical position will serve as a unified employee to direct the activities of the Construction Management Department, which consists of new construction, modernization services, warranty services, and project controls. This position is directly responsible to the Assistant Superintendent, Capital Program Office, Business and Finance Division. This is a replacement position.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree with fifteen (15) years of related experience.
2. Working knowledge of Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS), Nevada Administrative Codes (NAC), building codes, and state and local ordinance, standards, and regulations relating to public works projects.
3. Completion of advanced courses in management.

Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: 1. Currently serving as a professional-technical employee with the Clark County School District, or have a Bachelor’s degree. 2. Satisfactory service in corresponding or related positions, or five (5) years of successful supervisory experience related to the administrative position. 3. A minimum of ten (10) years of successful construction-work related experience. 4. Successful performance in the position held at the time of application. 5. Knowledge of building design, construction, and materials. 6. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. 7. Experience in contacting the services of architectural, engineering, and construction firms. 8. Experience in negotiation and resolution of disputes. 9. Experience in planning, budgeting, and project management of construction projects. 10. A valid driver’s license that allows the applicant/employee to legally operate a motor vehicle in Nevada. 11. Ability to complete a writing sample at the time of interview.
Three (3) letters of recommendation of which one (1) must be from the applicant’s current supervisor, a current resume, and complete set of college transcripts (copies of official transcripts will be accepted), must be submitted electronically where prompted on the on-line application, no later than the closing date specified above.
