          Beach Cities Learning Centers are non-public schools that provide a full academic curriculum & therapeutic behavior program for grades 1-12. The full time position is located at our campus in Manhattan Beach, CA. The primary disabling conditions of the students served at BCLC are Emotional Disturbance (ED), Other Health Impairment (OHI), Specific Learning Disability (SLD) and Autism (AUT). BCLC provides DIS counseling and behavior intervention including development and modification (BID), implementation of behavior modification plans (BII), and psychological services (PS). Duties will include providing individual, group, and parent counseling, crisis intervention, and case management through IEP participation and monitoring of progress through the school's behavior program. Specialized Skills – Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with children and adolescents grades 1-12, educational staff, families, and the public; Knowledge of school-based/community resources, especially related to the mental health, social services, and education fields preferred.
