We are seeking an energetic, passionate teacher who thrives on creativity, collaborates well with a teaching team and has the ability to think “outside the box.”

As a charter school, we follow Common Core standards but are not tied to a specific curriculum.  Therefore, we are looking for a dynamic teacher who is interested in pulling from a variety of resources to create lessons, learning experiences, projects, and field trips that teach the standards as well as meet the academic and interest levels of the class.

Communication, technology and organizational skills are a MUST!  We rely heavily on email and Google Apps to communicate with parents, students and colleagues.

Experience with Chromebooks, iPads, Apps, Visual Arts and STEM are desirable.

Comments and Other Information

Innovation Centre Temecula is a site-based public charter school program within Julian Charter School, offering a stimulating and non-traditional style of education. Our program serves kindergarten through eighth grade students. Students attend school Monday through Thursday. Fridays are home school days reserved for students to complete comprehensive projects with parents at home and for field trips. The ICT program is a project-based learning program, which means every lesson has been thoughtfully created and chosen by master educators in a collaborative environment as opposed to just using the next assignment from a textbook. There is minimal direct instruction; instead students learn the subjects through standards based projects with real world applications and utilizing 21st century skills. Project-based learning gives students the opportunity to stretch their minds and come to an understanding of content through cross-curricular projects while being guided by teachers. We have found that this style of education produces successful and engaged learners. We are currently looking for a 4th Grade Academy Teacher.
