Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the position requires that the Instructional Coordinator provide program leadership, including training, coaching, and technical assistance to staff in implementing evidence-based strategies, coordination of staff development aligned to goals and actions identified in site plans, coaching and modeling lesson plans that support the basis for the Constructivist Theory. The Coordinator will also support family engagement efforts, including eliciting feedback from parents, students and community partners that elicits feedback for plan development and decision-making. This position works closely with staff and students, oversees and troubleshoots for assessments, works with curriculum, runs the ELOP program, creates and monitors all scheduling, creates staff meeting agendas and oversees staff meetings, assists in seeking substitute teachers and substitutes when necessary, conducts SST and 504 meetings, organizes and conducts professional development, oversees behavior, and trains staff in Love and Logic. The person in this position reviews all work and decisions with the Executive Director. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Three years of verifiable teaching and leadership experience Administrative Service Credential or equivalent leadership experience preferred Administrative or leadership experience in organizing staff development Positive and patient personality to work with staff, students and families
