Requirements / Qualifications

Essential Functions • Directs Department of Human Resources. • Responsible for classified and certificated employment processes; records and payroll; insurance benefits: worker’s compensation; maintenance of personnel records; postings and hiring process; assists in collective bargaining negotiations; maintains credentialing records; employee leaves; and employee testing. • Responsible for maintaining files, processing certificated supplemental payroll once monthly, and performing personnel services as it pertains to classified and certificated employees; recruitment of employees; processes claims, assists in maintaining files and directs correspondence relating to worker’s compensation insurance; ability to present information to employees and retirees regarding health, dental, vision, and life insurance; processes state and federal reports such as the J90, EDD, multiple worksite report, and IRS reporting; attends all meetings as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent; oversees employee voluntary deductions; performs other job related duties as assigned. Training, Experience, Special Skills QSS/QCC Finance Systems for payroll/personnel processing and maintenance Rules, regulations, laws, and policies affecting classified and certificated employees and their recruitment Correct English, spelling, grammar, punctuation and usage. State and Federal Reporting HEAR billing Ability to: Formulate and Execute decisions involving complex issues Conduct training and workshops Plan work, review, train, and supervise assigned staff Communicate effectively both orally and in writing Carry out assigned work without immediate supervision. Prepare claim forms for insurance reimbursement. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
