Job Description / Essential Elements:    Print

The Phillips Academy (formerly The Children's Learning Center) is seeking an experienced,  licensed therapist to provide mental health services to students attending a non-public school. We are especially looking for a clinican who can speak Spanish and who has expertise in mindfulness techniques, but encourage all qualified indiivduals to apply. The position also has the opportunity for assisting in the administration of the mental health program.

The Phillips Academy serves approximately 75 students (middle school and high school) who have been referred by the school districts because of their special needs.  These include students with specific learning disabilities, high functioning students with autism spectrum disorder, students with emotional regulation challenges and students with mild developmental delays.  We have an excellent, diverse staff, a supportive, embracing, and flexible school community, and a very unique and engaging group of students. Our students make considerable gains, which makes the work particularly rewarding.  The school has been serving students in special education from approximately 18 Bay Area districts, for over 40 years.

If interested in making a difference and working with a dynamic team of colleagues, please respond to Dr. Esther Cohen.  The person in this position would be joining a clinical team of 4 therapists, a clinical psychologist, a school counselor, and a mental health rehabilitation specialist.

We offer a competitive salary based on experience and excellent benefits; more information about our program can be found on our website at www.thephillipsacademy.org.
