Requirements / Qualifications

Summary of Duties The ERSEA Coordinator is primarily responsible for recruiting families into the Early Head Start/Head Start program and ensures they meet the eligibility and selection criteria; are accurately enrolled in the program and monitors their attendance. The ERSEA Coordinator plans, implements and organizes the eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment and assignment functions in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) requirements; audits and monitors ERSEA data and files for enrolled families. Qualifications & Experience Education: Associate degree in family and consumer sciences, ethnic studies, social and behavioral sciences, human services, child development or related field from an accredited college or a high school diploma/GED is required and two (2) years of work experience servicing low-income families is required. Experience: Two (2) years of work experience in community-based or social service organizations is required. Some experience with income verification, data collection and reporting is required. Familiarity with family services programs, particularly in Head Start/Early Head Start programs is highly preferred.
