Under the direct supervision of the teacher, a successful candidate will assist in the Waldorf-Inspired program. Willow Tree classroom assistants are a key part of the Willow Tree team of education professionals. They are role models for our students, and are expected to look, act, and speak, as a representative of Willow Tree.
Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Understanding and promoting our school’s mission and vision.
- Working with the community, teachers, parents, and students to maintain the integrity and scope of the Waldorf-Inspired Curriculum.
- Possessing a strong sense of personal accountability, a positive attitude and exceptional communication skills.
- Passionate for co-creating, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Working with students of varying abilities to best meet their educational and emotional needs.
- Attending professional development and participate in recommended conferences, trainings, programs and courses in order to support professional growth.
- Cooking, telephone calling, assisiting lead teacher with classroom preparations.

The successful candidate must : ·be a graduate or be enrolled in an accredited college or university as a full time student with 2 years of course work completed (48 semester units) ·be able to show proof of satisfactory completion of at least 12 units of coursework between July 1 and June 30 each school year (for continued employment) ·possess a valid California driver license and have reliable transportation possess CPR certification and current TB Test Results
