Leeway School is a state certified nonpublic special education school for students with developmental and behavioral problems. The school serves approximately 100 students, and there are 60 full-time staff, including credentialed teachers, counselors, a speech and occupational therapist, and instructional assistants. We have 2 credentialed teacher openings for the new school year. It requires the appropriate teaching credential: Education Specialist credential - Moderate/Severe. The minimum qualification is enrollment into a University Educational Internship program in Moderate/Severe. The 2 classrooms are comprised of elementary and high school age students with developmental delays and some with autism. Experience with IEP's, ABA, DTT, and PECS preferred. School is well established with a therapeutic milieu. The school is located in Alhambra, and serves students throughout East Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley. We will offer a $5000.00 signing bonus upon completion of successful probationary period.
