RECORDS CLERK at Inland Empire Job Corps

You will report to the Supervisor of Records Administration. Responsible for clerical tasks, systems and procedures related to student records administration, in compliance with government and management directives.Operate data processing equipment and programs. Perform data input and produce required reports, documents, etc. and make adjustments necessary to ensure schedules are met. Perform duties including typing correspondence, form letters, preparing schedules, accountability forms, students records, student pay, travel and clothing allowance forms. Maintain files in the records department. Proofread records or forms; copy needed information from one record to another as required; file records in students official record folder. Coordinate student transportation arrangements on the available modes of DOL approved transportation; ensure accountability and return; conduct activities to retrieve transportation documents.Provide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customers. Support, promote and enforce Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy. Participate in student employability programs and activities. Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed. Maintain accountability of staff, students and property; adhere to safety practices. Cultivate and maintain a climate on center which is free of harassment, intimidation and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
Requirements / Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and one year experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required and you must be computer proficient. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is also required. Drug screen, background check and DMV check prior to employment.
