Requirements / Qualifications

1. A completed EDJOIN classified application. 2. Copy of High School Diploma or GED Certificate, or BA/AA Diploma or copy of transcripts showing high school graduation date or degree awarded. 3. License: A valid and appropriate California Driver's License.

Education and Experience Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Equivalent to two (2) years of experience in custodial or building maintenance trades including some supervisory experience, or two (2) years of custodial experience with the District. License: Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver's License.

  • Proof of HS Graduation (Copy of High School Diploma or GED Certificate, or BA/AA Diploma or copy of transcripts showing high school graduation date or degree awarded.)

Under general supervision, to plan, coordinate, perform and as required, oversee and supervise cleaning activities at an elementary school plant; to keep assigned areas and facilities clean, orderly, and safe; to assist school operations by opening and closing plant; and to do related work as may be required. Positions in this class are assigned to elementary schools. They report to the School Principal or if assigned to facilities other than a school, the Operations Foreman. Incumbents work performance is evaluated by the Principal. Fringe Benefits: Family medical, dental, vision, employee life insurance for employees who work 6+ hrs. per day (prorated for less than 8 hrs. a day). Paid retirement for employees who are vested in PERS prior to Jan. 2013. New members to PERS will contribute the employee portion.
