Club Z! In-home Tutoring is the world's largest in-home tutoring program. We are looking for experienced tutors who have a passion for teaching and enjoy sharing their knowledge with students of all ages, from Kindergarten through adults. Tutors will earn between $20 - $22 per hour, depending on assignment and qualifications.
We have greatest need for knowledgeable Math, Science, and SAT prep tutors at the middle/high school level, and for K-5 tutors who possess a teaching credential and classroom experience. Candidates with the ability to tutor in World Languages are also encouraged to apply.
Applicants should be comfortable working one-on-one with students and possess either a teaching certificate OR a degree with prior tutoring experience. If you are attending a 4 year college, you may be considered if you have completed at least 2 years AND are seeking a teaching credential or tutoring within your major. You must have your own vehicle and currently live or work in Pleasanton, Livermore or Dublin. Tutors are also asked to commit to working at least for the remainder of the 2014-15 school year.
We match tutors with students based on their needs and your qualifications. We offer flexible hours to meet your schedule. Most tutoring sessions occur Monday thru Thursday during after school hours (typically 4-9 pm) with occasional weekend work. Most tutors work 4-10 hours per week. Sessions primarily occur in the safety and comfort of the student''s home, but occasionally they may take place at a local library or other public location. Tutors will use the students'' school curriculum as their guide.
