St. Vincent de Paul Elementary School is seeking a Spanish language teacher for the 2015-16 school year. This is a part-time position but may be made full-time if applicant is able to teach another subject. A well-qualified applicant will be experienced teaching Spanish, hold a bachelor's degree in education or related field, and either hold a California Department of Education Teacher Credential or be eligible to secure one within three years. Position: Spanish Teacher Grades K-6
Job Responsibilities:
- Commitment to St. Vincent de Paul Elementary School's Mission & Philosophy
- Bachelor's Degree in education or a related field required
- Must be able to design lessons and assessments focused on needs of students
- Experience teaching at the primary and intermediate school level preferred
- Enthusiasm for teamwork opportunities
- Knowledge of and experience with differentiated instruction and working with students and diverse learning needs
- Ability to utilize technology in a classroom environment and to integrate technology on a daily basis
- Flexible in use of shared space with other teachers
- Classroom management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with students, parents, and faculty
- Valid California teaching multi-subject or single subject credential preferred
