Comments and Other Information
The student affairs officer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Be on school premises at 7:30 am for general supervision during student arrival time.
2. Monitor student attendance and morning tardiness. Prepare a daily roster of tardy and absent students and email list to the staff by mid-morning, together with daily announcements and reminders to teachers.
3. Implement and follow up with school disciplinary policies and procedures as outlined in the student contract and handbook. Assign consequences as necessary.
4. Supervise recess hours. Assign play areas for various groups of students, provide play equipment and collect at the end of breaks.
5. Prepare a supervision schedule for teachers; assign teachers areas to supervise.
6. Supervise and enforce rules and proper decorum while students are in the cafeteria.
7. Ensure proper student conduct on campus, especially during and at the end of breaks and at dismissal time. Supervise students and ensure safety on campus until 4:30 pm.
8. Resolve incidents happening outside the classroom. Report all incidents, disciplinary matters and safety concerns to the Principal.
9. Chair the Disciplinary Committee.
10. Be part of the Emergency Preparedness Team.
11. Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.
12. Work closely with the School Counselor, teachers and parents to ensure a safe, orderly school environment for all.
