The San Diego Unified School District is seeking innovative, instructional leaders to support the diverse needs of students, families and the community. As a part of the community, school leaders in SDUSD are committed to ensuring the provision of the academic, social and emotional resources to ensure all students graduate. Leadership candidates must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to balance the needs of the school's instructional and operational programs for the benefit of students. If you are ready to greet the challenges and reap the rewards of leading a community of learners, please submit the following as a part of your complete application; please note all attachments must be submitted online: 1. A fully completed SDUSD Application. 2. A current, valid California Administrative Services credential, and/ or Out- of- State credential. 3. A current resume. 4. Cover letter/letter of introduction. 5. Three (3) letters of recommendation. Desired letters should be from those who have supervised your work including your current supervisor (e.g. Principal, Assistant Principal, Managers, Superintendent, etc.) Other letters of recommendation from colleagues may be accepted in addition to, but not in lieu of the supervisory recommendations. Letters of recommendation should be dated within the last two (2) years.

6. Supplemental questions (site based criteria). Each school community is dedicated to its children and developed this site criteria to be considered as part of the application process. Please attach a separate word document as a part of your online application. * How do you ensure students served through the Special Education program receive supports to enhance their achievement? * How will you motivate and inspire teachers to make the necessary instructional shifts to support student mastery of the Common Core Standards? * Describe your experiences leading professional learning for staff though professional learning communities and in collaboration with the Instructional Leadership Team. * How will you engage with all stakeholders to promote student, parent and staff involvement in the school community? * Describe how you develop and communicate your vision for success of all students and execute an effective plan for continuous improvement? * Describe how you will establish the necessary systems to provide students and staff a clean, and safe environment for teaching and learning. * How will you foster and develop relationships between and among stakeholder groups within the Hickman community? * How do you ensure the needs of all are met in a culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse learning community? * How will you engage with constituent groups and promote student, parent and staff involvement in the community (e.g. PTA, Friends of Hickman)?
