**Please be advised that this position is located in Palm Desert, approximately 69 miles from Riverside.** POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Riverside County Office of Education’s Infant CIRCLE Early Start Program provides family-centered early intervention services for eligible infants and toddlers with special needs in a variety of natural environments, including family homes, throughout the Riverside County SELPA service area. The special education teacher, Deaf/Hard of hearing – infant/toddler provides special instruction focused on promoting caregiver-child interactions within the context of everyday activities and routines as the foundation of effective early intervention for infants and toddlers whose primary disability is Deaf or Hard of Hearing and who may or may not have other identified developmental delays or disabilities. Please see job description for a list of job functions and minimum qualifications. The following documents are required upon hire: Valid CA Driver's License, Fingerprint Clearance, TB Clearance, Bachelor's Degree. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required; Master’s degree desirable. CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES: Possession of a valid California Education Specialist-Deaf and Hard of Hearing teaching credential, or any other pre-Ryan California Teaching Credential in the emphasis area of Deaf/Hard of Hearing (Credential must include authorization to provide services to children ages 0-3). Applicants who are applying for a valid credential or have not utilized their credentials within the last 39 months of employment in a school district must show verification of passage of the California basic Education Skills Test (CBEST). CTEL Certification or EL equivalent such as CLAD, BCLAD, or SDAIE is also required. You must provide evidence of qualifying for these credentials with your application materials.
