Requirements / Qualifications

Recruitment Type: Open Competitive and Promotional (Dual Eligible List) BASIC FUNCTION Performs complex technical duties in the employment processing of the District's classified and certificated employees, including substitute and contract employees, which may consist of recruitment and credentialing; prepares and maintains a variety of State and District reports, lists, records and files; respond to inquiries related to State and District legislation, regulations, codes and contracts. Perform a wide variety of complex and responsible clerical and administrative support duties. EDUCATION: - Graduation from high school. - Completion of at least 60 semester units of college. EXPERIENCE: - Four years of responsible secretarial experience. - Ability to type at least 55 net words per minute. - Intermediate to advanced knowledge and ability to work with word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems is desirable. - Experience with the LACOE Human Resources System (HRS) is desirable. - At least two years working in a personnel operation, with at least one year working in either a classified or certificated personnel operation or at least two years working as a secretary or administrative assistant to an administrator or director is desirable. LICENSES AND OTHER CERTIFICATIONS: Valid California driver's license and maintain insurability by the District's insurance carrier for liability purposes.
