The San Diego Unified School District is seeking innovative, instructional leaders to support the diverse needs of students, families and the community. As a part of the community, school leaders in SDUSD are committed to ensuring the provision of the academic, social and emotional resources to ensure all students graduate. Leadership candidates must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to balance the needs of the school's instructional and operational programs for the benefit of students. If you are ready to greet the challenges and reap the rewards of leading a community of learners, please submit the following as a part of your complete application; please note all attachments must be submitted online: * A fully completed SDUSD Application. * A current, valid California Administrative Services credential, and/ or Out- of- State credential. * A current resume. * Three (3) letters of recommendation. Desired letters should be from those who have supervised your work including your current supervisor (e.g. Principal, Assistant Principal, Managers, Superintendent, etc.) Other letters of recommendation from colleagues may be accepted in addition to, but not in lieu of the supervisory recommendations. Letters of recommendation should be dated within the last two (2) years.

* Supplemental questions (site based criteria). Each school community is dedicated to its children and developed this site criteria to be considered as part of the application process. Please attach a separate word document as a part of your online application. 1. Describe your experiences leading staff through the implementation of solid instructional practices. Specifically, share your experiences related to critical literacy, visual and performing arts and technology. 2. Describe your experiences building a culture of respect and care for all stakeholders. 3. How will you engage with all stakeholders in shared leadership and decision making? 4. How do you ensure the needs of all are met in a culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse learning community? 5. Describe your work with school budgets including facilitating School Site Councils and/ or School Governance Teams. 6. How do you ensure the needs of students served through Special Education and GATE are provided with proactive learning supports?
