SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: An offer of employment in this classification is contingent upon passing a physical examination. REQUIREMENTS: Pass the District Clerical Test. Submit with the application a typing certificate (current within 24 months of the closing date of this posting) for 45 net words per minute on a 5-minute timed test from an accredited agency (online or internet testing will not be accepted). One year of general clerical experience including telephone duties and public contact. Six months experience in the operation of a private branch exchange or computerized branch exchange switchboard highly desirable. High School diploma or its equivalent. A second language ability is highly desirable. The Division of Human Resources requires a typing certificate from an accredited school or agency, dated no earlier than twenty-four (24) months before the posted closing date. The typing certificate must be attached to the EdJoin application. Human Resources will not accept online certificates or e-mailed test results from typing websites. The typing certificate must contain the following information: - Agency’s official emblem - Address and telephone number of agency - Signature of person certifying the certificate - Date of certificate - Name of applicant - Number of correct (net) words per minute typed during a five- (5)- minute timed test. (The certificate must indicate it was a 5-minute test, and the score must be identified as net or corrected words per minute.)

Paper applications and required attachments will not be accepted. Two (2) letters of reference or recommendation should be current within the last year. Letters from relatives are not acceptable. Applicants must complete all three (3) Professional References within the application; references from relatives are not acceptable.
