Requirements / Qualifications
*This is a part-time only position (2 hours per day/10 hours per week).* JOB SYNOPSIS Under the direct supervision of a certificated teacher, AVID tutors provide tutorial support to students through a defined course of study. See attached Program Information. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS A complete application must meet the criteria listed below and must have the following documents attached to your online Ed-Join application prior to the position closing date/time: *Copy of Transcript(s) showing completion of a minimum of 24 semester units from a regionally accredited college or university, AND demonstrate proof of current enrollment in a regionally accredited college or university program with a minimum 2.5 GPA. *Letter of Introduction (Must specifically reference the position for which you are applying) *Resume *Two Letters of Reference/Recommendation *Application is filled out completely (no blank spaces) REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Prior tutorial experience is desirable REQUIRED EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent. Must have completed a minimum of 24 semester units from a regionally accredited college or university and demonstrate proof of current enrollment in regionally accredited college or university program with a minimum 2.5 G.P.A. Continuing Education Training: * Enrollment in a regionally accredited college or university program required * Position requires the completion of a 16-hour training AVID course located at Riverside County Office of Education to demonstrate proficiency of AVID tutoring methodologies upon hire.
