Requirements / Qualifications

Duties: To administer the one-on-one portions of the California English Language Development Test (CELDT) to limited English Proficient students to assigned K-12 sites in the district students at assigned K - 12 sites in the district Specific responsibilities include: 1. Follow proper administration procedures of the CELDT test 2. Maintain the security of the testing materials 3. Correctly and competently conduct the one-on-one administered sections of the CELDT 4. Be able to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships as a member of a roving team of five to six tester, as well as a respectful rapport with students and site staff. 5. Other related duties as assigned Other: Applicants must be proficient speakers of English. This includes having mastery of 1. Pronunciation: The ability to pronounce the full range of American English phonemes 2. Intonation 3. Fluency 4. Extensive vocabulary and correct usage of grammar, syntax, spelling and punctuation of English Applicants must be able to meet schedules and timelines Applicants must be able to travel to different sites throughout the district to administer ther CELDT Applicants must be able to move about, stand and/or sit for extended periods, and access all locations in the work environments Times: Training: One day on either September 9, 10 or 11, 2014: Selected candidates will be assigned one of these dates Testing: Five days a week, September 15 - October 24, 2014

Requirements: • Submit an Online Edjoin Application • Resume • 1 letter of recommendation • Copy of CA teaching credential, Copy of 30 day Substitute Permit ) • Valid Driver's License with evidence of insurability • Bilingual preferred
