Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE One (1) year of experience in quantity food preparation and food service facility maintenance in a commercial, institutional or school food service facility is required. EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent is required. Training or coursework in nutrition, menu planning, quantity food preparation methods and procedures, or closely related areas is preferred. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, BONDING AND/OR TESTING REQUIRED Successful completion of the District’s basic skills test. Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and proof of insurance are required. Food Safety Manager Certification is required. Successful completion of the Employee Entrance Evaluation. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Personal transportation for job-related travel. PLEASE NOTE After the final filing date, applications will be screened and qualified applicants will be notified of the basic skills test date and time.
