The San Diego Cooperative Charter School 2 is looking for highly-skilled multiage teachers. Our progressive charter school welcomes candidates who have a thorough understanding of child development and constructivist pedagogy. Our multiage classrooms consist of students within 2 traditional grade levels that are intentionally grouped together. The groupings we are hiring for are: Primary (6, 7, and 8 year olds), Elementary (8, 9, and 10 year olds), Bridging (10, 11, and 12 year olds). Our multiage classroom teachers differentiate custom-built curriculum considering the needs, learning styles and strengths of individual students.

Requirements / Qualifications

Interested applicants must: • possess a valid California multiple subject teaching credential with CLAD or EL authorization. • love children and place students at the center of their practice. • welcome a fully inclusive classroom and appreciate their role in building and fostering an effective and harmonious classroom community. • welcome the cooperative aspect of school by including families in the school experience and see parents as partners in the education process. • understand and prefer to actively design curriculum in collaboration with team of teachers aligned with school-wide themes. • be a reflective practitioner with a strong desire for continuous learning and improvement • effectively manage all aspects of classroom operations (attendance, classroom management, student evaluation, parent conferences, etc.) • maintain a neat and orderly classroom that is organized for student independence and success.
