ENGLISH TEACHER POSITION
The Lycée Français de San Francisco is looking for an English Teacher with ECE that speaks French for the 2013-2014 school year.
The Lycée Français de San Francisco is a French immersion College Preparatory school in the San Francisco Bay Area, providing a challenging educational environment, based on the French national curriculum. Our program is designed to provide students with a structured, well-assimilated body of general knowledge while encouraging the development of analytical and critical thinking skills. Our students earn an American high school diploma, as well as prepare for the French Baccalauréat which qualifies them to attend European universities.
Essential functions
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Teaching English to lower school students
• Preparing course objectives and outline following curriculum guidelines.
• Preparing, administering, and correcting tests and recording results.
• Assigning lessons, correcting papers, and listening to oral presentations,
• Keeping attendance and grade records
• Discussing student’s academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents.
Education and qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in English with teaching credentials.
• Minimum of three year experience as an English Teacher.
• Experience working in independent schools preferred.
• Proficient in French is a plus.
• Experience working with people from different cultures and who speak different languages.
• Committed to the students and their success.
• Energetic and enthusiast, independent and resourceful.
• A dedicated team player
