          QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: •System Administration •Network Administration •Database Administration •Application & Web Development Ability to: •Recommend technical solutions that solve organizational issues to improve student learning. •Work cooperatively with customers, staff, vendors, contractors, and members of the public. •Serve as a liaison between IT staff and other departments on IT related matters. •Plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize and handle multiple tasks. •Work under pressure with priorities and deadlines that may be subject to changes and frequent interruptions. •Ensure timelines and project goals are met. •Plan for future hardware architecture and software upgrades. •Work flexible schedules as needed to perform network and system maintenance and upgrades. Education and Experience: •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, business information systems, or other relevant degree from a four year accredited university. OR •Four years of experience managing complex systems, servers, networks, websites, and/or databases. •Advanced degree desirable. DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs highly technical tasks by applying a broad range of technical knowledge and expertise of principals, practices, procedures and guidelines for a particular function or for more difficult and complex assignments; assists in the development and design of technical projects; works independently on small or large projects; solves all but the most difficult or complex problems and issues related to Information Technology systems. TYPICAL DUTIES: •Develop, administer and maintain enterprise databases, websites, and networks, including standards and procedures. •Install, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade workstations and LAN/WAN networks. •Maintain an enterprise Cisco VoIP infrastructure. •Configure, design, and maintain Active Directory including Group Policies, network printing services, account and group management, and security. •Maintain current network and systems hardware architecture and software. •Evaluate, design, monitor, and maintain enterprise VMWare VSphere environment. •Develop computer, database, web, and network standards and procedures. •Knowledge of T-SQL based databases or related technologies to support systems and operations. •Perform database server configuration, installation, querying and programming, upgrades and maintenance. •Perform Microsoft and Apple X-Serve service-side administrative tasks. •Design, implement, and maintain sophisticated web-based applications built on ASP.NET (C# or VB) and/or Java/jscript/jquery. •Evaluate, design, monitor, implement and maintain computer enterprise software applications. •Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain all server-side applications for managing tablets and mobile devices. •Administer and maintain the Microsoft Exchange e-mail server and SPAM filtering. •Monitor, maintain, and upgrade storage area networks (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS) devices. •Plan and maintain information storage and retrieval using enterprise backup solutions •Knowledge and experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License. Microsoft/CompTIA certifications in servers, databases, security, or messaging preferred. Cisco certifications in networking, unified messaging, or security preferred. Work with a GREAT district!!
