Pay Information
Grade F, ($2,920 – $3,877.12) per month based on the current AFT Maintenance and Operations Salary Schedule. New employees will begin on Step 1 ($2,920) or up to Step 3 ($3,219) with 36 months of verified, paid, full-time related job experience. Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt (can accrue overtime). Excellent benefits are provided to employees with assignments equal to or greater than 50%, and all eligible dependents. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment. Desired Qualifications
Major factors to be evaluated for this classification will include knowledge of:
• Athletic field dimensions and areas.
• Grounds maintenance.
• General first aid and CPR.
• Rules and techniques of games and sport contests.
• Basic inventory procedures.
• Health and safety regulations.
• English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability and skill to:
• Communicate effectively with faculty and students.
• Make minor repairs to equipment.
• Operate a variety of utility vehicles and passenger vans.
• Operate a variety of athletic equipment and line markers.
• Make simple arithmetic calculations.
• Understand and follow oral and written. directions.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Maintain records.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Lift heavy objects.

Conditions of Employment:
SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT :
• Submit “official” college transcripts as stated on application (even if a degree is not a requirement for this position)
• Pass a pre-employment physical exam at the District’s expense
• Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial appointment (Note: The certificate must be renewed every 4 years as a condition of continuing employment)
• Have fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer at the candidate’s expense (Clearance must be received prior to first day of employment)
• Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Attend a new hire processing appointment in Human Resources located at the District Administrative Offices
