2-3 years of graphic design experience; experience in creating graphics for K-12 education a plus
Exceptional ability with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop or other vector-based software.
Experience with visual information, composition and balance, color theory, layout, and visual design.
Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to design
Understanding of visual design and integrating sourced illustrations with a product.
Ability to translate complex concepts or scenarios with simple, clean graphics
Understanding of what comprises age-appropriate graphic
Job Description
TenMarks, an Amazon Company based in San Francisco and Boston, is growing and looking to add amazing people to our curriculum development team. TenMarks is an online math solution used in thousands of schools in the U.S.
TenMarks seeks an experienced and passionate Graphic Designer to work with a team of curriculum developers and instructional designers on a world-class online math product. Working in close collaboration with the curriculum team, the Graphic Designer is responsible for producing top-notch visual design aligned to our K-12 Mathematics curriculum, ensuring the consistency of style and standards through all curricular materials, while keeping in mind the audience and overall product usability.
The Graphic Designer will look across content in all grade levels and components to ensure consistency of vision and execution. This is a full-time position located in Burlingame, CA.
Responsibilities
- Support the curriculum team and consult with subject-matter specialists to create graphics for K-12 Mathematics learning materials.
- Work efficiently and precisely on a number of different design projects simultaneously.
- Maintain a clear style and visual consistency by following style guides and requests from Content Specialists.
- Create characters and content narratives to align with K-12 Mathematics content.
- Manage multiple design tasks on short deadlines.
