SMART-E SECRETARY

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

Under the leadership of the San Carlos School District SMART-E Prorgram Director, the secretary supports the mission of the program which includes but is not limited to providing support to teh director, providing superior customer service to parents and district staff, administration of office-related resposibilities, record keeping, purchasing and delivering of all supplies and materials, and other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Excellent customer service skills

Computer skills with experience in a variety of computer software (Microsoft word, excel, publisher, WordPress, ActiveNet)

Displays highly developed organizational skills

Exhibits creativity and flexibility

Works effectively on a team and indenpendently

Communicates effectively both orally and in writting

Knowledge of working in a public school district helpful

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists the director in administrative tasks, including, but not limited to the following:

Builds positive relationships with parents, children and SMARTE and district staff

Responds to phone calls, emails and other forms of communication

Schedules substitute staff

Orders and delivers materials and supplies to sites

Inputs database entries, copies and completes acceptance letters

Records and processes deposits

Tracks budget and processing for accounts payable

Assists with generating parent communications, newsletters and schedules as needed.

Assists in all special events and special projects.
