Position Summary:
It is the responsibility of the Substitute Teacher to carry-out the absent teacher's prepared lesson plans. During a prolonged absence, the substitute is responsible for performing all essential functions identified in the absent teacher's job description.

Coachella Valley USD is seeking Substitute Teachers. Our district is located about 30 miles east of Palm Springs off Highway 86. Please see the map link above. Qualified applicants will be professional, courteous, and dedicated to providing outstanding service to our students. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and teaching experience is preferred but not required. Requirements: *Valid California Teaching Credential or *Valid California Sub-Teacher Permit or *BA/BS and meet the Basic Skills requirement (Pass one (1) of the following examinations: CBEST, or CSET, or CSU or Basic Skills Examination From Another State) Upon hire official documents will be required.
All candidates offered a position will need to submit proof of TB test and Fingerprint Clearance.

- Letter(s) of Reference (2 *please note that at least one letter must be from a recent Supervisor)
- Other (proof of passing any of the basic skills requirement, or Sub-Teacher Permit, or CA Teaching Credential)
