Welcome to Amador County Public Schools! Our unified P-12 district serves about 4,000 students and consists of the Amador County Unified School District and the Amador County Office of Education. Our schools and communities are nestled in the heart of the Gold Country in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, close to San Francisco, Sacramento, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. Requirements / Qualifications
To qualify for eligibility list: High School Diploma or equivalent, and one of the following to be No Child Left Behind (NCLB) compliant: AA or higher degree OR 2 years of college (evidence of 48 semester units) OR pass the Amador Schools NCLB exam.

This posting is for an eligibility pool for external applicants for Special Education Instructional Assistant positions, located at various sites within Amador County School District. The position hours will range from 3.0 to 6.0 hours. Please apply for this posting if you are interested in interviewing and qualifying for the eligibiltiy list. Qualified candidates, once they are placed on the list, will be contacted when vacancies occur that have not been filled by Amador County Office of Education internal applicants. NCLB Compliance: if you do not have the college units required, you may schedule an appointment to take the District NCLB compliance test in Jackson. These appointments must be scheduled in advance (no walk-in testing).
DOJ Fingerprinting at District Office, pre-employment physical, and current clear TB test is required before selected candidate can start employment. First Aid and CPR certificates are also a requirement (please see job description)
