Under the direction of the Director and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, candidate will perform complex technical and clerical duties in the support, interpretation, and maintenance of the District’s classified personnel programs and activities. Candidate will prepare reports for the Department of EDD and the Santa Clara County Office of Education, and compile information for projects, records/files, and grants. The Personnel Technician II is responsible for the maintenance of more complex and classified personnel matters involving legal documents and other confidential information, including Department of Justice and FBI reports, employee evaluations, and Worker’s Compensation information. Qualifications: Any combination equivalent to college level course work in office management, business administration, personnel, public administration or related field, and three years of increasingly responsible experience, including at least one year of related human resources experience relevant to personnel and the maintenance of management information systems. Knowledge of applicable sections of the State Education Code and other applicable laws is preferred. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, courtesy, telephone techniques, and etiquette are essential.
