Under the direction of an administrator, candidate is responsible for hardware/software support, hardware diagnosis, repair and maintenance in the micro-based data processing environment. Candidate will assist in providing technical guidance to end-users, and support appropriate district-wide technology. Must have the ability to diagnose software/hardware problems; communicate with various clients and vendors in a professional manner; stay current with changes in the micro-based computing environment; employ tact, patience and courtesy; troubleshoot basic cabling and network infrastructure. Education and experience: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and a basic knowledge of PC equipment, operating systems and disk interface, and diagnostic methods. Possession of an appropriate California operator’s license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles is required. This is a temporary 2-year position.
