Requirements for Applying

**This is a substitute position for the Greater Riverside Area only, which includes the following cities: Riverside, Corona, Moreno Valley, and Perris.** The job of Food Service Worker is done for the purpose(s) of preparing and serving food items to students and/or school personnel, as well as maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition. Please review the attached job description for a comprehensive review of the job expectations.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS A complete application must meet the criteria listed below and must have the following documentation attached prior to the position closing date/time: *Valid Food Worker's Certificate issued by the County of Riverside Community Health Agency, Department of Environmental Health (see link) *Resume *One Letter of Reference/Recommendation *Application is filled out completely (no blank spaces) For information about how to obtain a Food Worker's Certificate, please contact your local County Public Health Department at 888-722-4234. ***Please be advised that mail service exams/certifications are not valid in Riverside County and cannot be accepted. The only online food handler training and exam program that is approved in Riverside County is StateFoodSafety.com.*** REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the skills, knowledge, and abilities listed in the Food Service Worker job description. REQUIRED EDUCATION None required CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: •Valid California Driver’s License required •Valid California Food Worker's Certificate issued by the County of Riverside Community Health Agency, Department of Environmental Health required *********************************************************************** RECRUITMENT PROCESS *********************************************************************** PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING: Once this position closes, your application will be screened for minimum qualifications.
