CTE/ROP TEACHING POSITION – Health Science and Medical Technology - Sports Medicine at Grossmont Union High School District

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Teaching Credential: A valid CTE credential in Health Science and Medical Technology or the ability to obtain the credential. Qualifications for the credential and related fees can be found at: http://www.sdcoe.net/human-resources/credentials/Pages/teaching-rop-cte.aspx or detailed information at http://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/leaflets/cl880.pdf • Industrial work experience in the field of Sports Medicine, but not limited to: the prevention, recognition, evaluation, rehabilitation, and management of sports injuries, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, CPR/First Aid and efficient motor skills. • Applicant must have basic knowledge of all areas of Sports Medicine as listed above. • Possession of a current National Athletic Trainer Association Certificate (ATC) is preferred. • Be able to present lessons with a clear and logical structure. • A desire to instruct and work with young people. (Prior related experience is preferred.)
