Requirements for Applying

SDCOE is recruiting to fill a part-time position for an Office Assistant II in the Outdoor Education Program. Under general supervision, the Office Assistant II performs a variety of clerical, data entry, report preparation, and office support tasks. The Office Assistant II will perform work both at our Linda Vista campus, as well as our Metro Street office. The schedule for this vacancy will be flexible, but will work no more than 82 hours per month. This position does not offer benefits. The Office Assistant II classification requires experience with office equipment and procedures, and knowledge of phone and basic computer functions. A typical qualifying experience would include: one year of progressively responsible office/clerical experience and training demonstrating the typical tasks described above. Work experience involving the use of computers for recordkeeping or word processing is required. The recruiting is to establish an open/promotional eligibility list for the classification of Office Assistant. The candidates on the promotional list will be used before the candidates on the open list.
