SDCOE is recruiting for a Mathematics Project Specialist at San Pasqual Academy in Escondido, CA. Under the direction of an Administrator, the Project Specialist will direct instruct, provide professional development, and differentiated and focused math support to underachieving students in the classroom, small groups, and individualized settings. The Project Specialist must have evidence working collaboratively with teachers as well as success working effectively with at-risk and underachieving students. The Program Specialist will monitor, assess, and evaluate student progress using formative and summative assessments and assist in planning, implementing, coordinating, developing, evaluating, and supervising the math intervention program.
This position requires a valid California Single Subject teaching credential in math; and an English learner authorization (CLAD or equivalent). This position also requires an advanced degree in education, and a minimum of three years experience in classroom teaching; as well as experience conducting professional development activities, seminars, and collaborative projects.
