Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) promotes optimal child development and family well-being through access to quality child care, family support, economic development, and community education. CCRC assists parents, child care professionals, employers, and local communities in all matters related to early care and education. Our mission has been guided by the belief that our social and economic future depends on the quality of a young child’s experiences.  Our current programs include Head Start and Early Head Start, Child Care Financial Assistance, Child Care Resources and Referral, and our Family Child Care Home Education Network.

CCRC is looking for an ERSEA Coordinator for Head Start with a proven track record of leadership and education experience. At CCRC we believe in teamwork, having fun and achieving success.  That is where you come in and as an ERSEA Coordinator at CCRC, you play a key role in guaranteeing that success continues by using your skills to support our Head Start Enrollment.

General Summary:  Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, will be responsible for the Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility and Attendance of families for the Head Start Program.  As an advisory specialist for management the ERSEA Coordinator will perform special assignments as assigned from the CCRC Head Quarters and as a field representative as needed for Head Start Centers/Early Head Start.  The ERSEA Coordinator will be responsible for the supervision and monitoring of the data entry clerks (Sr. Clerk Typists) and of the accuracy and timeliness of all tracking systems needed.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies, Social Work, or related field.
  • Two years experience in a social program similar to Head Start.                                                
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills                          
  • Must have ability to work effectively with a wide variety of parents from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds
  • Must have ability to work cooperatively with a team                            
  • Ability to converse, write and/or translate in Spanish, strongly desired
  • Valid California Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, automobile insurance and a clean driving record required.
  • Criminal Records (e.g. Livescan Fingerprinting), Child Abuse Index, Sexual Offender Registry, Health and Tuberculosis (TB) test clearances required.

Keys areas of responsibility include the ability to:

  • Responsible for oversight and monitoring of ERSEA activities
  • Provide supervision, training and professional development of Sr. Clerk Typists assigned to data entry and tracking systems
  • Plan and implement goals, policies, training and activities related to Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility, attendance and other compliance data.  Coordinate and implement recruitment, training and enrollment schedules in collaboration with Head Start Managers
  • Monitor monthly enrollment, end of the month paperwork, attendance, and data entry for tracking systems
  • Ensure that reports required by the agency and/or other stake holders are accurate and timely. (examples but not limited to end of the month, PIR information, numbers of monthly and quarterly reports)
  • Maintain all necessary records and documentation and submit reports as required.
  • Ensure maintenance of complete, accurate, updated documentation and record keeping by Family Advocates, teachers and data entry clerks.
  • Review status reports for enrollment and attendance at each center, and submit reports to the Managers, Assistant Director and Director.
  • Provide appropriate supervision and management and develop a team to address critical data collection.
  • Provide leadership, by example, establishing and maintaining quality work standards.
  • Provide monthly meetings with data clerks for updates and systems needed
  • Understand and become familiar with performance standards as needed for the program requirements
  • Plan and implement training for in-service, enrollment and procedures as needed
