Job Summary

Job Summary

This is a part-time to possibly a full-time position. To observe behavior of students or visitors and deter inappropriate behavior; to assist in maintaining a trouble-free campus through effective communication and problem solving; to perform related duties as assigned. - Supervise/monitor student behavior during school, during lunch/recess - Guide routine activities of eating, playing and peer interaction - Direct student play activities and the use of play equipment - Assist in establishing and maintaining an environment that stimulates the growth of desirable social, emotional and health habits - Respond to and prevent violations of school rules and regulations on school grounds - Communicate with administrators about the behavior of students - Notify appropriate school administrators of situations which require immediate attention - Issue written rewards or reprimands for positive or negative behavior - Observe and report campus safety hazards - Prevent children from engaging in unsafe activities - May administer routine minor first aid - Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

- Experience working with children, preferably as a Coach or Teacher’s Aide. - High school diploma/GED and two years of college (48 units), or A. A. degree (or higher) preferred. - Demonstrate a passion for education reform and the success of young people within an urban educational environment. - Ability to work within a flexible schedule. Required after position offer: - Copy of TB Test - Live Scan - Copy of CPR/First Aid Certificate
