Under the direct supervision of the teacher, the successful candidate will assist in the academic program of 6th-12th grade students, and assist in the operations of the Resource Center. CSSD resource center associates are a key part of the CSSD team of education professionals. They are role models for our students, and are expected to look, act, and speak, as a representative of CSSD at all times. Duties may include tutoring, clerical support, telephone calling, and assisting instructors with home visits.

Qualifications/Requirements
The successful candidate must
· be a graduate or be enrolled in an accredited college or university as a full time student with 2 years of course work completed (48 semester units).
· possess a valid California driver license and have reliable transportation.
· possess excellent organization, time, and record keeping skills.
· preferably have experience working with secondary and special student populations.

The Charter School of San Diego is an educational option for grades 7-12 students. Its instructional design is based on a “University Model”. Students work independently and attend classes, labs, or tutorials 2-5 times/wk. Students come at scheduled times; no more than 20 students on site at a time. The learning environment, located in store-fronts throughout the city, is professional, clean, safe and well-equipped with curriculum resources, teacher & student laptops, desktop computers, wireless networks, and high-speed T-1 Internet access in each classroom. SELECTION PROCEDURE: Selected applicants will be interviewed by a panel of teachers and will complete work-styles/behavior survey. Candidates who successfully complete this phase of process will be interviewed by CSSD Directors. Teaching assignments may be for morning, afternoon, or early evening.
