BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of a Principal or District Office administrator, assist the food service worker by performing a variety of routine food service activities related to the setting up of servicing areas, preparing, and serving meals to students.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: E represents an essential function of this classification.
Assist in the preparation, set up, and serving of food to students. E
Distribute milk to students. E
Collect lunch money. E
Maintain safe and orderly flow of students through service lines. E
Maintain work and serving areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition. E
Perform related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Food heating procedures.
Correct food storage procedures.
Safe use and maintenance of kitchen ovens and utensils.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities to perform the essential job functions is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: one year general experience in the service of prepared foods.
