Have a deep understanding of genres, authors, and titles of books in order to make recommendations to students and staff. E
Support students in understanding the broad services offered in the library in order to help them become comfortable with accessing the library. E
Assist students with identifying, locating, and selecting literature that ignites their interest for personal reading or research. E
Transform the library atmosphere to a place where reading, learning, research and fun takes place. E
Oversees the library room environment; daily, seasonal, and special event displays of books and bulletin boards. E
Assist in the creation, development, and implementation of programs that encourage reading for enjoyment and research. E
Explain policies and procedures to students, staff, parents and the community. E
Strong background and understanding of reading and literature. E
Assists with inventory of library materials and prepares lists of missing books and books to be discarded. E
Shelves books, media, computer software and other materials. E
Organize and independently maintain standard and specialized operational records and files. E
Uphold GPA culture at all times. E
Prepare standard and special correspondence, bulletins, notices, and reports. E

Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to graduation from a recognized four-year college or university with a background in literature.
Completed live scan upon hire and current negative TB Test and CPR/First Aid certification
