MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology
• CA Board of Psychology License
• Minimum of three years post licensure experience as a clinical psychologist with school age children
• California drivers license and ability to participate in occasional overnight travel
HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS
• Ability to conduct standardized and informal assessments of students with a full range of disabilities
• Knowledge of and experience in non-standardized, clinical and developmental assessment techniques
• Strong experience base in positive behavioral interventions
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with culturally diverse populations
• Bilingual Spanish
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional team
• In-depth knowledge of special education law and educational interventions
• Experience in developing and conducting trainings on assessment or intervention topics
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• When working on-site, at the Center: weekly, assess two children with highly varied needs; interact with their parents; observe and confer with your colleagues
• When working in the field: provide consultant service to members of IEP Teams at public school sites
• Compose and present meaningful and practical reports used by educators for students ages 3-22
• Conduct and attend training workshops throughout Southern California
