Qualifications: The Director will work on a 225 day contract, reporting directly to the District Superintendent. Desired qualifications include: Bachelor's degree California Credentials that authorize supervision and evaluation of teachers and staff at multiple sites (Child Development Director Permit or Administrative Services Credential) at least 2 years of management experience experience in early childhood education experience in fiscal oversight effective communication skills, especially in writing and speaking background in and knowledge of social services experience in case management experience providing parent education experience in writing grants experience in developing, monitoring, and managing budgets experience in working with diverse populations ability to create long-term strategic plans ability to cultivate and sustain partnerships with municipal and other public agencies and represent the CCPM and THRIVE in the community. ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish (preferred) Personal Qualities: demonstrates integrity shows compassion works well in a culture of shared responsibility works well under pressure meets deadlines encourages risk-taking for a positive result inspires others to give their best effort maintains a sense of humor is persevering shows passion for the work is comfortable in the role of "trailblazer"

      Duties and Responsibilities: Lead a comprehensive service delivery plan that integrates services for children and families across multiple areas and agencies. Oversee "in-take" of children and families (needs, appraisal, data entry, and referral to services) and ensure clients receive programmed services in accordance with needs. Oversee preschool and infant-toddler programs. Supervise and evaluate certificated and classified staff. Oversee the day to day operations (e.g., reception, coordinating use of common areas, routing of communications, responding to email and phone inquiries, website maintenance). Identify and use research-based practices and strategies and modify them based on evidence and local needs. Manage the data collection, entry, analysis and reporting for results the Thriving Children's Report Card and other evidence-based decisions. Oversee, manage, and provide operational guidance and support to outside service providers and CCPM tenants. Secure community resources (e.g., additional agencies housed at Main, grants partnerships) that promote improved results in the four key areas. Create a sustainability plan that will ensure the long term vitality. Coordinate efforts with the City of Carpinteria and other agencies to plan additional community services (e.g., for senior citizens, events for families and children, etc.). Promote CCPM in the community through media contacts and through contact with service organizations and government/municipals agencies. Provide reports to the school district, grantors and other interested parties concerning progress toward benchmark and annual goals. Service on the District's management team to ensure coordination with K-12 instructional programs. Participate in THRIVE Carpinteria meetings and events.
