Education and Experience:
Equivalent to graduation from high school, plus complete two years of study at an institution of higher education (college level) or forty-eight (48) semester units, including a math and an English class or obtain an Associate’s degree or higher*; good general background and work experience, including one year of paid or volunteer experience working with children requiring a more specialized learning environment.
(Some positions in this classification may be required to translate oral and written communications between English and a designated second language.)

Transcripts need to be uploaded to the application reflecting 48 units or more. All applicants must pass a basic skills test for instructional aides before being considered for an interview. The test will take approximately 1 hour.
**The basic skills test will be waived for those applicants who have taken and passed all portions of the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST). Please provide a copy of the CBEST card when submitting an application for the position.
