Requirements for Applying

Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines: Must possess and maintain a valid California Teaching Credential. Possession of a California Administrative Credential is preferred. Four years of educational experience in the instructional area. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with major course work in education. Bilingual, experience in implementation of Project GLAD, and experience as a Project GLAD Tier III or Tier IV Trainer are preferred.

There are supplemental questions in the application. Please note that the EdJoin system will time-out after a 20-minute period of perceived inactivity. To assist you in the preparation of your application, the supplemental questions are listed here. Your responses should be thoughtful and thorough, and within the limit of 5,000 characters or less. We recommend that you prepare your responses in advance of beginning the application. 1. Describe your thinking about language acquisition and how your philosophy about language learning and academic success connect with the Project GLAD™ model. 2. From your perspective, describe three key areas of strength and one weakness that you have identified within the essential elements of the Project GLAD™ model. 3. With the arrival of the Common Core State Standards and a focus on 21st century learning skills, please explain how you believe the Project GLAD™ model intersects with these initiatives.
