Pay Information:
Range 9, ($4,419 – $6,291) per month based on the current Supervisory and Professional Administrators’ Association Salary Schedule. Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the handbook. This position is FLSA Exempt (does not accrue overtime). Excellent benefits are provided to employees with assignments equal to or greater than 50%, and all eligible dependents. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment. The Position:
Applications are currently being accepted to augment** the current pool of applicants for Bookstore Supervisor at San Diego Miramar College. The regular days & hours for this position are: Monday through Friday, some Saturdays, and holidays (extended hours during peak periods). Typical fall store hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday; Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the bookstore’s needs.
Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

Desired Qualifications:
Previous College/University Bookstore and/or Retail Management experience.
Combination of training and experience equivalent to: completion of two (2) years of college majoring in business administration or related subject; AND, four (4) years of related bookstore experience [two (2) years of which must have been in a lead or supervisory capacity]

• Pass a pre-employment physical exam at the District’s expense
• Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial appointment (Note: The certificate must be renewed every 4 years as a condition of continuing employment)
• Have fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer at the candidate’s expense (Clearance must be received prior to first day of employment)
• Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
